Getting Good at Valorant

Tired of being a bottom fragger all the time?. Tired of being continuously flamed by teammates because you are playing poorly? Then fear no more, This straight to the point guide will help you become a better player.

1. Practice your Aim

Nobody has a perfect aim when they started playing their first fps game. It takes time to practice and get good at it. Going to the shooting range and practicing for about 10 minutes at least daily will help you get your aim better. Tweak the aim sensitivity and find the best one for you.

Practicing using the different weapons will also help you get a good aim.

2. Know your Agent

It is also important in this game to know the skills of your agent and what does it do. Every agent has a specific role to do in the game. Go to the range and try out all of their skills then later on you can play unrated or spike rush to try out your chosen character.

If you are a Controller then help set up smokes for your team and take control of a part of the map instead of doing flashy omen plays unless you are flexinja.

If you are a Sentinel then don't go in and die first instead provide the utility and gather the information your team needs in order to win the round.

If you are a Duelist do not go to the opposite side of the map where your teammates are. Entry Frag for them.

If you are an Initiator then help gather information and help set a good entry frag for the Duelist.

You could also watch Agent guides on Youtube that showcases the tips and tricks in using their abilities.

3. Develop your Game Sense

  • Study the Maps
  • Know when to use your ability ( Just think carefully and ask yourself about the right timing in using an ability.)
  • Check Corners ( Check the corners where the enemies are possibly hiding )
  • Know when to rotate to other sites

4. Communication

Communication is Very Important when playing. Giving your team information will greatly impact the outcome of the round. Your team will know where enemies are, how many damage you have given them, know the time to rotate and synergize your abilities. It is a struggle when the people you queue with speaks a whole different language you can't understand. For me this is very important.

5. Hope that your Teammates are Good

Very Important. Being carried is not bad after all.
